Mount Ophir Expedition 2006

Day 1

We book into camp at 7pm and settle the cadets, distributing the necessary stores, check passports, and attend the final debrief conducted by Commander Air. and after that it was bed time. haha. and once again, we the CLTs did not sleep.

Day 2

Half the day was spend travelling to Gunung Ledang Resort in Malaysia and the balance of the day was spend playin at the outdoor adventure course. haha. it was quite fun especially the flying fox. took it quite a number of times.

Day 3

We set off for base camp early in the morning at 8. reach there in 3 hrs. carryin our heavy bags we press on. and when we were there.....

Day 4

We began the trek at 0615 in the morning and reach the summit at 1030. out of the 3 groups that went up, we were the fastest. an achievement that is worth bragging about. along the way we met with many obstacles but we overcame them. haha. and the teachers and i were up last coz along the way we were talking stories.

Down and Down we went

when we arrive down at base camp, it was so darn shiok. haha. our efforts finally paid off. and there we are back. the male teachers, male clts, medic went upstream to soak and enjoy a can of longan syrup. it was simply heavenly man. haha. can say that we guys really bonded there and then.

that night, we had a talk cock session with the teachers and we were all send laughing with the entics of benjamin. and it went late into the night. the rangers rocks too as they cook some food for us. though it was not something expensive, it was heavenly as we had not tasted such food in a long time.

Day5

Took us only 2 hours to climb down to the resort and after that it was recreation time for all of us. Hot Shower. Clear our bowels. lol. what to say? Sedap man!!!
