24 hours more to A Level Chinese Examinations.
24 hours more to Book In.
24 hours more to Zoo Visit.

haha. so much things to do and so little time. today was spent resting in view of the hectic week that i will have ahead. and also went out gaming with Alvin, Wei Liang and Merv. lol.

wish myself all the best. and good lucks to myself. hope lady luck din abandon me at this period man. lol.

i shall find some way to get my stuffs back. hmmmm. may have to resort to the last option. :))
back to updating my blog after such a long layoff due to tiredness and lazyness and a foul mood. shall do a summary of my life for the past few days.

didn't go school on thursday, choosin instead to go for some retail therapy with dom and bought a few things.

friday was GP exam. pretty interesting paper. haha. i did a pure sucidal question for the essay "Is Being Single Something to Be Feared" even though i know that i do not have the sufficent evidence to support, i still did it anyway coz i have very strong feelings for it and also it sorta reflected my mood at that point of time. i do not think that being single is something to be feared. but i think it shld be respected and treasured. coz being in a relationship sucks esp with girls who think the whole world abt themselves.

saturday went to TTC for my history trip briefing following which was a BBQ at Pasir Ris then Mervin, Alvin and Wei Liang dropped by my hse jus only and we talk some kok under my house.

coming up soon. History Field Trip to Hanoi, Vietnam. haha. hope it is as interesting as it sounds. will be away trying to do sth funny there and not get caught in typical bertie fashion. haha. it would be a challenge to pit wits with Miss Norah who happens to look and sounds fierce. would be an interesting exchange. :)) haha. time to put rusty skills to good use alr.

i still stand by what i say about girls irregardless of what opinions others may have. you are entitle to your own opinion and so am i. if you know me well enough you shld knw that i am not one that will back down from sth that i have decided, said or done. i stand by my actions and words. i also do not come to such conclusion but rather i would rather trust the opposite party. but sadly to say this trust that i once use to possess for these people is sorely lacking here. seriously, the past controversies that i went thru involving these few girls really change my opionion about them. you can nearly say that i do not entirely trust girls at this point of time except for a choice few.

haiz. all i ask for is just wanting to get it back. is it really that hard? i mean your actions are jus further irritating me and making me super suspicious of your actions which i am.

FFF was really present in MI yesterday. though the crowd wasnt that fantastic, the atmosphere was one that is befitting of a carnival. well, i also cannot comment much coz i was missing for the entire carnival. haha. but during the time when i happen to be walking around, there happen to be quite a crowd man.

ok. i have a confession to make. came late for the carnival with yasmeen and farhan then later not long after i disappear to go look for raihan and spend the whole day with her after she knock off at 1. but at least i did ask my frenz that i saw there to come and buy from our stall in the canteen. keke. my only contribution for the carnival.

FFF (Fun Fair Frenzy)

everyone, teachers, staffs, students were busy with our upcoming fun fair which was goin to occur later at Toh Tuck campus. lol. they all seem to be hard at work, every class except our class. my class can't seem to be bothered about the funfair with only the same few people with a few other additions helping out. the rest? doin what they do best. pretend that it all didn't happen. thank god, i am only spending a few more months with them. bet with you, they will pull off a Houdini later unless i am being too judgemental here? lol. jus being typical bertie here. as long as i have a dislike for you, everything about you comes under my scrutiny and everything that you do seem to be wrong.

went over to Toh Tuck today to set up the stall. bleahs. i think for our stall we can actually set up on the day itself coz there is nothing much to set up. well, this funfair doesn't seem to entice me to play a more active role. spend the rest of the time slacking in the library while waiting for Raihan. lol. but in the end she needed to stay to do the banner then i also quite slpy due to the aircon and comfortable seats in the library decide to postphone our "date" till after the funfair tmr provided we both not tired which i think we will be la. haha.

oooh. and Louisa is baking Ai Xin Bing Gang (Love Biscuits). lol. and lucky me will get a few frm her. birthday gift from her. rofl. shall do a little promotion here coz apparently she got quite a lot of orders. so ya. the bing gang comes in the shape of a heart and i think it's choc type. lol. and it sounds nice. so shld be quite nice to eat too la. :))

girls are simply terrible creatures. liars, con artists, manipulators, cheats. you name it and they are. ya. this is a personal attack on some girls that i know but not all. it is because of these some girls that girls everywhere are getting a bad name. however, there are really some nice girls which are totally not like them, can't these few girls jus learn from them? one example that i can quote would be elly. she is definitely not like your average girl and she is definitely not like how i describe them up there. these few black sheeps should really learn from her. and yes, i am NOT talking about my classmates if that is what you are thinking. i am talking about some girls that i know from outside.

they claim to be Alpha Females. they are fierce. they are strong willed. they are stubborn. they are backstabbers. they think that they know everything. they think that they are equal to males in every aspect. whatever we males can do they can do too, but that is bullshit. you can never be and will never be. it is just a dream that you all are living in. wake up dude!

when they want something from you, they will be really nice. and after they get that something from you, they will just suddenly turn around and bite you. can't they jus stop being like this? aren't they being very hypocritical? so what if i am being sexist here?

yes, i do not care if after reading you feel unhappy with me or wat? i think enough is enough. one has to really draw the line somewhere and i am tryin to be real nice and patient here but you are just pushin it. and i have had enough of the nonsense alr. all i want is just a simple thing from you. is it really so hard to give? things have never indeed been the same and it never will be. could be my fault could be your's but i just don't plain care already. you are a chapter of my past, a mistake that i learnt and you will remain so.

ok. i do not want to say more. if not i think i will reveal wh0 these girls are and i would say more nasty things. after all mrs tan is correct to say that nothing good comes out from my mouth. i am your worst critic. yes. i am fuming mad inside though i may be nice to you and i am really sick of all of these.

today marks the end of my birthday week, of which i spend nearly everyday with my friends, classmates and outside friends alike. probably the best birthday that i ever had in my 3 years in MI.

haha. the presents that i receive this year too are quite a few. like the NIKE bag which feline gave me. :P haha and how can i forget that unforgettable present that cheryl gave me too? would probably rate it as one the top presents that i received ever. cheryl rocks man!!! well, this 2 presents did indeed made my 19th birthday a very memorable one.

am not looking forward to being 20 next year. haha. means i am gettin old and would be bidding my teenage years goodbye. grrr. i am getting old.
it was a really fun time yesterday as i continued Day 4 of Festive Celebration with my friends. Last night was the 1st night eversince i turned 19 that i got totally wasted. heex. lol. the booze flew free (advantage of being birthday boy) and i predict that there would be many more to come this year. :)) and i guess i was sprouting nonsence last night too, saying things that i would not normally say.

the day started off with me going to meet feline and ying yi at starbucks at suntec before rozario joined us, from there we headed off to Marche for dinner. over there, i had this salmon & tiger prawn with mixed mushrooms pasta which i think was pretty nice and a bottle of Barcardi for warm up for what was to come later. we had a slow dinner while waiting for Benn who seem to slowly take his time to come and when he did finally arrived, it was when the fun actually started. lol. they got me this cute heart shaped chocolate cake and all started to seranade "Happy Birthday" a nice gesture but was rather embarrassing as they were singing at the top of their voice. lol. following which they propose a toast to the birthday boy, which is me by the way with a few glasses of Erdinger which i think is far nicer than Henekien or Carlsberg.

after sitting down and talkin cock for a while, we went for to the arcade for a few rounds of Initial D. haha. No Driving after Drinking? nah. we were still sober like a bird after consuming quite a bit of alcohol. haha. it was only after that then did the real fun started. we wanted to hit the clubs but decide in the end to go for a session on singing at KBOX. haha. besides the complimentary drinks that they provided there, we decide to buy a little extra Jim Bean Burborn. and from there on, we party the night away. :))

and i got home drunk and wasted i guess. haha. next time perhaps it will not be that bad.

I just hated the day that it all started. The greatest mistake of my life was to know you. but i will always treasure the time that i spend with you coz they are the happiest time of my life as much as i may regret it. you are the cause and the effect.

Currently on a War Path. Distrub Me and You are Dead especially to those people whom i have a dislike for. You are Warned.

Tuesday, May 09, 2006

the day passed rather uneventfully in school and the fun started only after school. school as always is exceptionally boring especially today on this very special day which in the near future has the highest potential of being a public holiday. :))

hmmm. i must really say that i am quite touched and surprise that alot of people remembered today as being my birthday, not that i am that popular to begin with. but people whom i do not expect to remember, remembered and vice versa. well. she didn't remember i guess but it is no longer of any importance to me.

Thanks to everyone for making my birthday so memorable and nice :)) especially meryl with that unforgettable way of wishing me. lols. it was really different from the norm and i really liked it :P

spend my entire day with feline after school. first went to meet her at AJC then we went down to town, she lugging her files and i hugging my shoebag. haha. throughout the entire time, we were settling on where to makan thru smses initially then verbally later and we finally settled on crystal jade at Taka. but lo and behold, when we reach there decide to go to Din Tai Fung at Wisma to eat instead. the food there is rather nice especially the Lamian and the Xiao Long Baos. Xiao Long Baos are nice :)) we had a feast there, ordering a little of everything and we set there talking for quite some time. and we were the only students there! we ate throughout the meal feeling that we were some sort of caged animal with the people around us lookin at us. not as if they have not seen students in uniform before. feline wanted to pay initially we finally settled on going dutch.

after that, we went shopping!!! lols. went to scout for her birthday present which is just a few days after mine and guess what, we are still going to stick to the original idea. She buy that Nike Bag for me and i for her. lols. which she did and i am going to return her the favour or maybe will get her that ADDIDAS pullover that she wanted. shall go recce when we go out again this saturday.

and the best thing that happened today? we got drenched in the rain! in the end we just decided to walk in the rain and were drenched from head to toe. romantic you would think but brrrr. it was really cold and fun. :P though it is like soooo wtf. the rain spoilt our otherwise fun date. due to the rain and the fact that we were drench we just went home after that.

ok. and today marks the start of a week long celebration of this joyous occasion with plans and celebrations everyday. i feel like a king. :)) and it's great to have friends like this.

to end this post: i would wish myself a happy 19th Birthday!!!
ok. it's finally here.

Birthday Outing Tomorrow with Feline after school. :))

General Election 2006 came to an end yesterday with the PAP winning majority of the seats except Hougang and Potong Pasir (strongholds of the Opposition) This was probably the hottest and most talk about topic in class besides _____ & _____ which seem to get more and more interesting each day.

well, it is somewhat expected, but i would say that the Opposition did indeed put up a good fight this election. The percentage in which the PAP won as compared to the previous 2 elections is far lower than expected for most of the wards. The PAP was expected themselves to garner 80% of the votes but in the end have to be with contented with an average of 65% of the votes. This was a far cry from the expected 80% and their showing in the previous years. I personally feel that this could be a turning point for the Opposition and that they should build on from here and the next election they could probably win some wards.

The strategy adopted by the PAP in focusing on the James Gomez Incident backfired on them in my opinion as the WP did not take up the bait, choosing instead to apologise and move on from there rather than fighting back the PAP.

I think the PAP expect them to fight back like SDP and was hoping to use this incident as a tool to derail WP Express so as to make sure that the Opposition is in a fluster and would not be able to focus fully on the General Elections. I would say that that this is the strategy used by the PAP for this election. Choosing to focus on the faults on the Oppositions and target it so as to create confusion amongst the ranks. This way, the Opposition would be not be able to put up a good fight as they have internal problems to take care off. The would be too busy taking care of themselves.

Sadly to say, the SDP was not able to withstand this onslaught by the PAP and was emboiled in lawsuits with Goh Cheok Tong and Lee Kuan Yew. Cracks started showing in their ranks as its members were in a way more concern with removing themselves from the defamatory articles rather than to stay united in the face of diversity but we must take into consideration that family pressure and selfishness may have a part to play in it which could cause some of the members to crumble. The thought of paying huge amounts of money simply do not appeal to them, neither would it appeal to me. I would say that this incident cause them quite a few votes as the impression that they generated to the public after the incident was rather negative, this could be partly due to the negative reports published by the Straits Times, a newspaper partly owned by the government. They were seen as a squabbling party with no solid manifesto and no direction for the future of Singapore. I think despite that the SDP have lots of guts but a lack of leadership and direction. This could be seen through Dr Chee Soon Juan who despite having a lot of guts to question the PAP on several occasions, fluttered around like a headless chicken.

The WP on the other hand, took the PAP head on and admitted their mistake and from there call the incident to a close and move on, rather than choosing to answer the questions rise by the PAP which would in fact halt the WP in their tracks. They displayed a strong show of unity among their ranks and were not afraid to take the PAP headon. I think these cause them to earn quite a few votes for their party and even though they lost, they lost with a rather huge increase in percentage of votes as compared to last election. I would say that the WP is a party to look out for during the next few elections. They have stability amongst their EXCO and i predict that the WP is the party to look out for in the future. They have done some internal clean ups and are far better than how they were in the past when they were just like the SDP. Lots of guts but no directions.

To me, this strategy employed by the PAP seem more like the "streetfighter" type that they condemn and it looks more like Third World Politics rather than First World. If you look at it from another point of view, it could be seen as being dirty politics, targeting on the weaknesses of the party or the weakest link in the party and refusing to let go and hoping tht the party will break under pressure and not put up a fight. I personally feel that it is petty with a lack of honour and integrity. If the PAP is so sure about themselves winning, then they should just let it carry on and challenge the Opposition to their defamatory claims, after all for all we know there could be a shred of truth in what they say.

However, though there were more Oppositions this time round contesting in several GRCs, i feel that the challenge is still not there. The Opposition is still not up to the mark of a worthy adversary of the ruling party. it was more like a 1 way fight. PAP vs WP or PAP vs SDA etc. it would be much better if we could see a 3 way or 4 way fight. PAP vs SDA vs WP for example in a GRC. this would provide more challenge for the PAP. on other hand, the Oppositions too have to improve on their directions. To me, they are just fighting for the sake of fighting. Win or Lose it doesn't matter. Instead of just complaining about the problems, they should also provide solutions to solve the problems. Though they did present some solutions to solve the problems, i feel that the solutions suggested seem to take us towards being a welfare state and it could be quite disastrous as it could mean we have to pay more taxes.

I feel that the Oppositions should have contested in all GRCs or at least in Tanjong Pagar and Marine Parade so that they can tie down the 2 most influential figures in the PAP. This way, they would be too busy contesting in their wards and would not have so much time to help out at the other GRCs. Moreover, in view of their advanced age, it would be quite hard for them to maintain the 2weeks of hard campaigning. This could be a possible tactic used by the Opposition. Target the strongholds of the PAP so as to distract the main figures and they would not have much effort to back up the other GRCs. The Opposition should also form alliances between themselves so that they can deliver a 2 prong attack to the GRC. after all, the enemy of my enemy is my friend. they should start working together rather than seperately. like that, the PAP would have its hands full with 2 enemies rather than 1 which they can fully focus on. If there is more contesting, they would be too busy and may flattered along the way. I agree with what MM Lee said, win over a GRC first then from there on build on as it forms the foundation of your fight for the majority in Parliament. instead too of spreading yourself widely, you could also concentrate on one and from there work on to win all the GRCs.

In this election, i also saw a display of loyalty from the resisdents to the Opposition MPs through Hougang and Potong Pasir GRCs. I guess the MPs really connected with the people and bought them over not with money or honeyed words but rather with their actions in honouring their promises and their willingness to put all else at risk for the people.

I also think that there should be more Opposition MPs in Parliament to serve as a check for the PAP. I would say that majority of the PAP are "yes" man or woman. always agreeing, never protesting. even if they do protest, ultimately they too agreed with what the PAP says. with Oppositions MPs in Parliament, not only do they provide an alternative voice for the people, they too are able to understand the people. The PAP seems like an elitist party where all its candidates are Degree Holders and above which would put them in the upper income families as compared to the Oppositions like the WP which come from middle income families which the form the majority of the population in Singapore. They are able to understand the people better and would be able to represent them better.

I still have many things to say but they are all politically sensitive issues. so i guess it would be best not to say it on a public blog where i could be arrested by the ISD for being a threat to the security of the Nation. after all that had happened in MI over PUBLIC DISPLAY OF THOUGHTS and the crackdown that follows soon after, sometimes silence is indeed golden.

I do not mind discussing it with you if you are interested. :P after all, i do have a love for politics and i find it rather nice to play coz it is just like going to war and in wars there would be winners and losers. haha i guess i develope this interest in politics especially after 3 years in NCC serving as a CLT. it does develope my interest and my love for it. could say in some ways am a veteran in playing it. it involved manipulation, stategising and tactics and a good PR. Playing politics is just like playing Monopoly or any other boardgames like RISK or GAME OF LIFE. you either win or lose and you must take risks and plan ahead of your opponents.

So Why Not Try It?

She (Tous Les Visages de L'Amour)

She May be the face I can't forget
A trace of pleasure or regret
May be my treasure or the price I have to pay
She may be the song that summer sings
May be the chill that autumn brings
May be a hundred different things
Within the measure of a day.

She May be the beauty or the beast
May be the famine or the feast
May turn each day into a heaven or a hell
She may be the mirror of my dreams
A smile reflected in a stream
She may not be what she may seem
Inside her shell

She Who always seems so happy in a crowd
Whose eyes can be so private and so proud
No one's allowed to see them when they cry
She may be the love that cannot hope to last
May come to me from shadows of the past
That I'll remember till the day I die

She May be the reason I survive
The why and wherefore I'm alive
The one I'll care for through the rough and ready years
Me I'll take her laughter and her tearsAnd make them all my souvenirs
For where she goes I've got to be
The meaning of my life is

She, She, She
Have I finally found what i was looking for?
Or was it just a dream all along?

Have i erred like how i had in the past?
Or is it the right choice this time around?

Have I took the path of no return?
Or have i walked the path to my own happiness?

Struck by the Fever Bug Again!!!!

i have no mood to blog. All i can say is that Lady Luck has never been kinder to me throughout the past 3 years. Feel that right now is probably one of the best times of my life and i would really enjoy it to its fullest regardless of how others may think i live my life.

i am supposed to say this " i dreamt of Elly last night" in response to some interesting happenings around me. :))

Monday, May 01, 2006

shall not be blogging much now as i am currently busy with catching up on the episodes that i miss from YuGiOh and Gundam Seed Destiny. regardless what others may say about these 2 animes i think they are pretty nice as compared to Bleah or Full Metal Alchemist. at least they don't beat round the bush and have lots of actions which i like.

and jus wanna make a point here. doesn't matter if i am single now or whether you are single now. being single is cool and fun. it is much better than being attached though there could be a few disadvantages with being single. but i think the advantages far outweigh the disadvantages. after you still can find love among your friends and you can only be young once, so why do you wanna tie yourself down with a gf at such a young age?

i am just happy the way i am now, surronded by my friends both in school and out of school. what more can a simple guy like me ask for?
Labour's Day..... a holiday which is long awaited. lol. the month of May seems to have a lot of hols man. what to do? i was born during this month so of course it will be special with lots of hols and such :P

ok, i am looking forward to the start of school next week :)) what an exciting week i have in stall for me ahead man. so dun be surprise, i am rather surprise by myself too. how true is the age old saying that the more you hate a person, the more you will like the person ultimately.....it has been proven right once again and i find it quite amusing. well, love does manifast itself in many different ways and i think this would be one of them. this is super random but i guess i get more and more crappier and random as the days goes by.

before i bored myself to death talkin about love i guess it would time to stop. haha. oooh and shams and i were talkin about how nice it would be if there would be an NCC Progress or Retirement Package. at the rate that we are going, we should be awarded with a lump sum of money.

i think i am like having insomia for the past few days man. alot of things on my mind. jus that i cant really seem to find an answer and a s...
